All libraries in the Metropolitan Library System will close at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22 and remain closed Thursday, Nov. 23 and Friday, Nov. 24, in observance of Thanksgiving.
Access to digital resources like eBooks, eAudiobooks, online research sources, digital magazines, streaming tv & movies and music downloads are available anytime at www.metrolibrary.org.

Oklahoma City voters are eligible to participate in a special election on Sept. 12 to consider bond and sales tax initiatives. The general obligation bond package includes a proposition to support our libraries. Be informed on Tuesday, Sept. 12.
OKLAHOMA CITY –Metropolitan Library System recently hired Cassie Spindle as the new Belle Isle Library manager. She began her role on Monday, July 31.
While Spindle is new to Metro Library, she brings 13 years of extensive library experience, most recently at Pioneer Library System’s Moore Library where she served as the Customer Experience manager. While at PLS, she also served as the Interim Information Services manager and Children’s Services manager. Prior to joining PLS, Spindle served as Literacy Services manager at Tulsa City-County Library System.
